The Sam Houston bowling program has signed Antonnette Garcia, a top youth female bowler from Bacolod City, Philippines, for the 2026-27 season. Garcia is recognized as one of the nation's leading youth bowlers and has been a member of the Philippine Youth
National Team. Her achievements include winning the Graded Division title at the MILO Storm U22 International Junior All-Stars Bowling Championships and earning a team silver medal at the Friendship International Youth Championship. Garcia is the 17th international student-athlete and the third Filipina to join the Bearkats, as the program enters its 17th season. She plans to pursue a degree in Business at Sam Houston State University.
