Mitsubishi Motors North America is preparing to launch a new version of its Montero SUV, known as the Pajero in other markets, with a debut in Asia later this year and a North American release expected closer to 2030. The new Montero will be built on the same
platform as the Triton mid-size pickup and is anticipated to be similar in size to the modern Toyota Land Cruiser. A key feature of the new Montero is the revival of its iconic triple-meter gauges, now updated to a digital format. These gauges, known as the Multi Meter, will provide real-time data such as altitude, compass heading, ambient temperature, pitch and roll angles, and left-right torque distribution. The design shift from a rear swing gate to a liftback is also expected.
