What's Happening?
AGC Asia Pacific is actively seeking a Computer Vision Intern to join its Data Science team at the Technology Research Park (TRP), IIT Hyderabad. This internship focuses on a real-world 3D perception challenge: detecting transparent and reflective glass
objects in 3D. The intern will be responsible for building and curating 3D perception datasets, including annotation for transparent-object scenes, and developing and fine-tuning computer vision and deep learning models for the detection, segmentation, and 3D localization of glass. Additionally, the role involves designing experiments, evaluating models for precision, recall, IoU, and localization error, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering and R&D teams to refine and validate solutions. AGC, a global leader in glass, electronics, chemicals, life science, and ceramics, operates in over 30 countries and aims to drive Digital Transformation (DX) across Asia through its D&I Promotion Division, which applies 3D computer vision and AI.
