Northern Essex Community College has once again led Region 21 schools in academic honors, with 10 National Junior College Athletics Association All-Academic honorees. This marks the third consecutive year the college has achieved this distinction. Among
the honorees, Franchesca Karam from the women's volleyball team and Rebecca Heathman from the women's basketball team were recognized on the first team for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. Heathman was also named the college's Female Scholar Athlete of the year.
