What's Happening?
Casey’s General Stores has initiated its annual Cash for Classrooms campaign, aiming to raise $1.4 million to support K-12 public and nonprofit private schools. The campaign, running until September 8, allows customers to contribute by rounding up purchases
at the register, adding donations at checkout via the Casey’s app, or buying Coca-Cola products, which contribute five cents per purchase. Casey’s Rewards members can also donate points to the grant program. Since its inception in 2020, the campaign has awarded over 500 grants totaling $6.2 million.
Why It's Important?
This campaign is significant as it directly supports educational institutions, providing much-needed resources for schools and teachers. By engaging customers in charitable giving, Casey’s fosters community involvement and strengthens its brand reputation. The funds raised will help address material needs, support teacher initiatives, and enhance educational facilities, ultimately benefiting students and educators. The partnership with Coca-Cola further amplifies the campaign’s impact, showcasing corporate responsibility and collaboration in supporting education.
