What's Happening?
BYU Athletics has announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with BYU Continuing Education, which will become the official jersey patch sponsor for the university's Olympic sports programs. The partnership will see the Continuing Education logo featured
on the uniforms of six sports, including baseball, cross country, soccer, softball, track and field, and volleyball, starting in the 2026-27 athletic season. The sponsorship aims to support student-athletes who excel both academically and in their sports. BYU Continuing Education offers a wide range of educational programs and has been serving lifelong learners for over a century.
Why It's Important?
This sponsorship highlights the growing trend of educational institutions partnering with athletic programs to enhance visibility and support for student-athletes. By aligning with BYU Continuing Education, BYU Athletics is reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and athletic achievement. The partnership provides financial support that can help improve facilities, training, and resources for Olympic sports, which often receive less attention and funding compared to major sports like football and basketball. This collaboration also underscores the importance of integrating educational opportunities with athletic programs to foster well-rounded student development.
