Greenland Mines has entered into a diamond drilling contract with Nordisk Fundering for its Skaergaard precious and critical metals project in southeast Greenland. The 2026 field campaign will involve approximately 7,500 meters of helicopter-supported
core drilling, focusing on advancing resource categories and collecting metallurgical material. The campaign aims to gather geotechnical data to evaluate potential open-pit development scenarios. Greenland Mines has arranged logistical support, including an icebreaker and accommodation base camp vessel with a helicopter platform. The drilling will utilize three helicopter-portable rigs capable of operating on both rock and ice-covered sites. Nordisk Fundering, a Scandinavian contractor with Arctic drilling experience, will provide geotechnical expertise for mine planning and pit-wall design.
