FedEx has announced new agreements to secure over 20 million gallons of neat sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for use at five major U.S. airports through 2027. This initiative marks a significant expansion of FedEx's commitment to deploying SAF across
its U.S. air network. These new agreements follow previous deals in 2025, which secured approximately 5 million gallons of neat SAF, leading to the deployment of 16.5 million gallons of blended SAF at U.S. airports. The airports covered by these new agreements include Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Oakland International Airport (OAK), Miami International Airport (MIA), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). FedEx anticipates that SAF blends will constitute a substantial portion of its jet fuel usage at these five airports, with blend ratios expected to range from 30% to 50%, depending on the specific location.
