The Bearkats recorded victories against Alabama State (1,122-928), UAB (865-856), Jackson State (920-842), Alabama A&M (949-721), and Emmanuel (927-790). Head coach Brad Hagen expressed satisfaction with the 5-0 start but acknowledged the need for improvement, citing a short preparation window.
