Charles Lee and Min Kim, co-owners of the popular Canton bakery Café Dear Leon, along with new partner Byung Kang, are preparing to open Little Ian’s Bagel Shop in Baltimore’s Patterson Park neighborhood. The new establishment will be located at 3101
E. Baltimore St., the former site of Pie Time. The opening is anticipated for the fall, with Kim emphasizing that they will not rush the process to ensure the bagel recipe is perfected. Unlike Café Dear Leon's crab dip bagel, which uses a softer, sweeter bread, Little Ian’s will focus on bagels closer to a 'well-made country loaf.' The shop will also offer drip coffee from Ceremony Coffee Roasters, freshly squeezed orange juice, and matcha drinks, diverging from Café Dear Leon's espresso offerings.
