Verismo Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company specializing in multi-chain CAR T cell therapy, has announced the expansion of its solid tumor treatment pipeline. The company has developed a new preclinical program targeting the Claudin 6 (CLDN6) antigen,
using a novel binder created in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania. This program aims to complement Verismo's existing asset, SynKIR™-110, which targets the mesothelin antigen and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials. The new CLDN6 binder represents the second discovery in partnership with Penn, following the successful transition of the DS191 binder used in another trial. Verismo's KIR-CAR platform is designed to improve the persistence and durability of CAR T cell therapies, addressing challenges in treating solid tumors.
