Both the Aces and the Minnesota Lynx, led by Cheryl Reeve, currently top the league standings with identical 16-6 records. This marks Hammon's third time being named an All-Star coach, having previously held the position in 2022 and 2023. Cheryl Reeve, who will also coach in the All-Star Game, has been appointed for the fifth time, having previously coached in 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2025. Reeve's appointment coincides with her becoming the winningest coach in WNBA history, achieving 380 regular-season wins.
