Poly remained winless. Head coach Rob Shock expressed relief following the decisive win. The game saw Poly and Wilson in a back-and-forth contest for the initial 18 minutes before Poly pulled ahead. Quarterback Kenzie Paimany led the first scoring drive, culminating in a touchdown pass to Brooklyn Richardson. Wilson responded with a long touchdown pass from freshman QB Skylar Metcalf to Elsa Habig, briefly taking a 7-6 lead.
