Pretzel, a calico kitten born with severely fused and malformed legs, has found a new home after undergoing a life-saving surgery. The kitten was discovered as an orphan by Action 4 Animals Hawai‘i, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing at-risk
animals on Hawai‘i Island. After being fostered by volunteer Allie Fishburb, Pretzel underwent surgery to remove her hind legs, which had become too heavy for her to drag around. The surgery, costing approximately $1,500, was performed at Big Island Pet Center. Following the procedure, Fishburb decided to adopt Pretzel permanently, having grown attached to the kitten.
