Ascendant Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of an eight-hotel portfolio from Coastal Hospitality Associates, LLC. This portfolio includes 965 rooms spread across six hotels in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and two hotels in the Outer Banks, North
Carolina. Seven of these properties are beachfront, offering direct ocean views and outdoor balconies, while the remaining hotel is located in the town center of Virginia Beach. The portfolio was developed over several decades by Thomas J. Lyons, Jr., who began with a 12-room inn in 1968 and expanded to nearly 40 hotels across Virginia and North Carolina. The hotels involved in the transaction include SpringHill Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Residence Inn by Marriott Virginia Beach Town Center, and several Holiday Inn locations. Schulte Hospitality Group will manage the operations, and Ascendant Capital Partners plans to make capital and operational enhancements.
