Gibson Dunn announced the appointment of Jonathan H. Ashtor as a partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Technology Transactions Practice Group in its New York office. Ashtor is recognized for his expertise in advising on significant technology transactions,
including technology mergers and acquisitions (M&A), intellectual property (IP) licensing, technology development and collaboration agreements, artificial intelligence (AI), quantum and emerging technologies, and technology dispute resolution. Before joining Gibson Dunn, Ashtor was a partner at an international law firm, where he co-chaired its Global Artificial Intelligence Group. He also holds a position as a Professor of Practice at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, where he developed and teaches a course on technology transactions. His background includes an engineering and applied physics foundation, which Daniel Angel, Co-Chair of the Technology Transactions Practice Group, noted would add depth to the firm's transactional platform.
