The Composites Institute, known as IACMI, has announced the winners of its first Rising Star Awards, aimed at recognizing young professionals in the U.S. manufacturing industry. The awards celebrate individuals aged 18 to 35 who have shown exceptional
leadership, innovation, and contributions within their organizations. This year's winners include Alonzo Bullman from Trenton Forging Company in Michigan, Julian Espinoza from Gretna Machine Shop in Texas, Nick Knotts from The Lawton Standard Co. in Michigan, Samantha Melnick from SKF USA in New York, and Jake Carney from Trenton Forging Company in Michigan. Additionally, five professionals received honorable mentions for their contributions. The awards are part of IACMI's broader workforce development strategy, which includes initiatives like America's Cutting Edge (ACE) and Metallurgical Engineering Trades Apprenticeships & Learning (METAL).
