The Johannesburg Tourism Company (JTC), in partnership with South African Tourism, has officially opened exhibitor registration for Meetings Africa 2027. This premier business events trade show is scheduled to take place from February 22-24, 2027, at the
Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The event aims to bring together African exhibitors, international and regional buyers, business events professionals, and key industry stakeholders. The decision to open registration follows extensive debrief sessions and engagements with the business events sector, incorporating industry feedback to enhance the value, business connections, and opportunities offered by the platform. The 2026 edition of Meetings Africa marked its 20th anniversary, attracting buyers from 53 countries, including over 300 hosted buyers, and 325 exhibiting companies, resulting in more than 6,440 confirmed business meetings. Thandubuhle Mgudlwa, Chief Executive Officer of the Johannesburg Tourism Company, highlighted the city's commitment to driving economic growth and fostering partnerships through such events. Between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, the JTC successfully hosted and supported 22 business events, generating an estimated economic impact of R154,182,400.
