FitsAir, a low-cost airline from Sri Lanka, has inaugurated a new flight route connecting Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Colombo, Sri Lanka. The maiden flight departed Dhaka on April 17, carrying 120 passengers. Initially, FitsAir will operate two weekly flights
on this route using an Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 164 seats. Flights will depart Dhaka every Wednesday and Sunday at 2:00 am, arriving in Colombo at 4:30 am. Return flights will leave Colombo at 9:30 pm every Tuesday and Saturday, reaching Dhaka at 1:00 am. The airline is offering competitive return fares starting at BDT 35,000 and plans to increase its frequency, aiming to add another flight within the next two months and two more by the end of 2024.
