Matt Warshaw, head coach of the Cal State Northridge women's water polo team, has become the all-time winningest coach in the program's history. Warshaw achieved his 128th career win during a match against McKendree, surpassing the previous record held
by Molly Barnes, the team's first-ever head coach. Warshaw, a CSUN alum, has led the team to five winning seasons, including a school record of four consecutive winning records from 2023 to 2026. The Matadors finished the 2026 season with a 17-9 record and a national ranking.
