process, with contract award recommendations ready for co-venturer approval. Since 2024, the project has achieved approximately US$4 billion in cost savings through design optimization and rebidding EPC packages, reducing the capital expenditure to around US$14 billion. A crucial development is the decision to transfer operatorship of the project to ExxonMobil, which also operates PNG LNG, to maximize synergies. TotalEnergies will sell a 9.1% interest in the project to its Papua LNG partners, retaining a 20% interest while maintaining its LNG offtake share.
