A study conducted by the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business has provided insights into how future business leaders perceive the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on their careers. The research involved 124 career assessments
from students in a graduate course focused on AI for business. The findings reveal that 98% of students believe AI will transform their roles rather than eliminate them. The study highlights a 'speed paradox,' where AI increases expectations for output rather than reducing workload. Students also noted a shift in the value of professional skills, with strategic thinking and AI literacy becoming more important.
