The University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) has opened the £54 million Composites at Speed and Scale (COMPASS) facility. This open-access research and development center aims to enhance the UK's aerospace manufacturing
capabilities by accelerating the production of large-scale composite aerostructures. Boeing is the first user of the facility, which will support the Isothermic High-Rate Sustainable Structures (IHSS) program.
