Parker Towing Company has expanded its fleet with the addition of the Super Tiger Class M/V Chipper Rabbit, a newly constructed workboat built by Serodino Inc. in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The vessel, measuring 60 feet by 24 feet by 8 feet, is powered by a twin-screw
propulsion system featuring two Mitsubishi S6R-Y3 Tier 3 engines, each delivering 684 horsepower at 1,800 RPM. This propulsion package was chosen to meet the vessel's operational profile, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations. The Chipper Rabbit is one of two Super Tiger Class vessels built for Parker Towing, with the propulsion package supplied by Laborde Products. The fully mechanical S6R platform is noted for its straightforward operation and ease of maintenance, aligning with Parker Towing's long-term operational needs.
