What's Happening?
Renee Gass has rejoined Bradley University as a softball assistant coach, bringing her extensive experience back to the Braves. Previously, Gass played a pivotal role in elevating the team to one of the top programs in the Missouri Valley Conference.
During her earlier tenure, she contributed to Bradley's historic 2009 season, which included a school-record 12 MVC wins, the program's first MVC Tournament championship, and its inaugural NCAA Tournament appearance. Gass's efforts helped the team achieve a 10-game winning streak in the postseason, including a victory over nationally ranked DePaul. Her coaching prowess was recognized when she and the Bradley coaching staff were named the NFCA Mideast Coaching Staff of the Year. Before returning to Bradley, Gass served as the Director of Operations for the Peoria Sluggers Fastpitch Association, where she focused on player recruitment and development.
