What's Happening?
EV Resources has acquired 200 dry tonnes of high-grade antimony ore for its Tecomatlán processing campaign in Mexico. The ore, purchased from Lucero Grupo Minero de Puebla, will be processed at EVR's Tecomatlán plant. Laboratory analysis shows antimony grades
of 13-16%, with potential for higher concentrate grades. The purchase is part of a five-year ore supply agreement, and the campaign aims to generate data on plant throughput and recovery while engaging potential buyers.
Why It's Important?
This acquisition marks a significant step for EV Resources in establishing a commercial cycle for antimony production, a critical mineral used in various industrial applications. By securing high-grade ore and initiating processing, EVR is positioning itself to meet growing demand for antimony, particularly in the context of global supply chain challenges. The campaign's success could enhance EVR's market position and attract strategic partnerships, contributing to the company's growth and the broader critical minerals sector.
