Two young cricketers of Indian origin, Jerrssis Wadia and Aryan Sharma, have been selected for Cricket Australia's pathway squads, highlighting their rising prominence in Australian cricket. Wadia, born in Mumbai, has been named in the Cricket Australia XI
to face Bangladesh in a three-day match in Darwin. He has previously represented Baroda at the U-16 and U-19 levels before moving to Adelaide, where he was noticed by former Australia coach Tim Nielsen. Wadia made his Big Bash League debut for the Adelaide Strikers in December 2025. Aryan Sharma, a Victorian all-rounder, has been chosen for Australia's Men's Development Squad, which will tour India for the MRF Academy Programme.
