Athom, a Dutch company, has launched the Homey Portal, a physical control hub designed to manage smart home devices without relying on a smartphone. The device features a 2.8-inch round touchscreen encased in a stainless-steel rotary ring, allowing users
to switch devices on or off with a tap and adjust settings like brightness and volume by twisting the dial. The Homey Portal aims to simplify smart home technology by providing straightforward, tactile controls, making it accessible for all household members. It supports over 70,000 devices from more than 2,000 brands and integrates with the Homey ecosystem, including Homey Pro and Homey Cloud. The Portal can also set Flow-based alerts, reminders, and track energy consumption when paired with Homey Energy Dongles.
