A recent study by Squaremouth, a U.S. travel insurance comparison site, has identified the safest destinations for solo travelers worldwide, with Europe dominating the list. San Marino, a European microstate,
ranked first with a risk index of 0.78 out of 10, indicating a high perception of personal safety among locals. Andorra and Singapore followed in second and third place, respectively. The study evaluated over 100 countries based on factors such as the Global Peace Index score, perception of safety, median mobile internet download speed, and access to medical care. Austria and Czechia also made it to the top five, with Estonia, Denmark, and Slovenia rounding out the top ten.
