What's Happening?
Marlboro Music has announced the launch of its 'In Conversation' series, featuring discussions with acclaimed writers, poets, historians, and essayists. The series aims to explore various topics through the lens of literature, history, and civic life.
The inaugural event will feature a conversation between historian Jill Lepore and poet Dan Chiasson. The series is designed to foster deep listening and dialogue, moving beyond traditional book talks to engage audiences in meaningful discussions. The events are presented in partnership with Word House and are part of Marlboro Music's Artist Residency program.
Why It's Important?
The 'In Conversation' series represents a significant effort to promote public engagement with the humanities, encouraging audiences to explore complex issues through diverse perspectives. By bringing together prominent figures in literature and history, the series aims to enrich cultural and intellectual life, fostering a deeper understanding of societal issues.
