By targeting undergraduates, PIMCO is investing in early career development, offering practical experience that is invaluable for students aspiring to careers in finance. The emphasis on data, automation, and AI-enabled tools reflects the evolving landscape of the financial sector, where technological proficiency is becoming increasingly vital. This prepares the next generation of financial professionals for the demands of a data-driven industry. It also strengthens the company's presence in key financial hubs across the U.S.
What's Next?
Prospective interns will undergo a multi-stage application process, including an initial resume review, a cognitive assessment, and a one-way video interview, followed by a final round of live video conference interviews. Candidates are encouraged to apply early due to high interest. Successful applicants will participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training during the first week of the internship, providing them with essential skills and knowledge. Throughout the summer, interns will receive guidance and mentorship from supervisors, peer mentors, and senior leaders. They will also engage in cross-divisional education, networking, and social events, and participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering.
