What's Happening?
Nexus Minerals has announced significant findings from its Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia, confirming that the Clement prospect gold system remains open at depth. Recent drill hole extensions have returned high-grade results, with notable
assays including 4 meters at 6.36 grams per tonne gold within a broader interval of 13 meters at 2.62 grams per tonne from a depth of 204 meters. The company has completed assays for all 33 reverse circulation drill holes, covering 6,121 meters at the Clement prospect. These results are part of a larger 22,000-meter mineral resource estimate definition program. Managing Director Andy Tudor highlighted that the depth extensions confirm the system's continuity at strong grades and widths, with potential for further lateral repetitions and extensions. The Clement prospect is strategically located adjacent to the Crusader-Templar deposit, sharing similar geological features, which presents opportunities for future pit optimizations.
Why It's Important?
The confirmation of high-grade gold mineralization at depth in the Clement prospect is a significant development for Nexus Minerals, potentially increasing the resource base and enhancing the economic viability of the Wallbrook Gold Project. This discovery could lead to increased investor interest and support for further exploration activities. The proximity of the Clement prospect to the Crusader-Templar deposit suggests potential synergies in mining operations, which could reduce costs and improve project economics. The ongoing exploration success at Wallbrook underscores the project's potential to contribute significantly to the regional gold production, aligning with Nexus Minerals' strategic objectives to expand its resource base and enhance shareholder value.
What's Next?
Nexus Minerals plans to continue its exploration activities, with the drilling rig moving to Crusader-Templar extension targets. The company has engaged an independent consulting geologist to deliver an updated multi-prospect mineral resource estimate for Wallbrook, expected by the end of the September quarter. This updated estimate will incorporate the new findings from the Clement prospect, potentially leading to a maiden mineral resource estimate for the area. The results will guide future exploration and development strategies, with a focus on optimizing resource extraction and maximizing economic returns.
