Critical Metals Corporation (CRML), a U.S.-based mining company, has acquired the Ocean Endeavour, a 180-passenger ice-strengthened vessel, to serve as a worker accommodation vessel for its Tanbreez critical minerals project in Greenland. The vessel, purchased
for €7.5 million (US$8.6 million), will provide flexible housing capacity for project personnel, minimizing demand on local housing and hotel capacity. The ship is expected to facilitate reliable transportation throughout the region, supporting year-round activities in Arctic and Antarctic environments. CRML plans to moor the vessel adjacent to the Tanbreez project, pending approval from the Government of Greenland.
