Bartłomiej Kubkowski has become the first person to swim across the Baltic Sea, completing the feat in just under 55 hours. Starting from Sweden, Kubkowski swam approximately 160 kilometers to reach the Polish coast at Dziwnów. This achievement marks
the culmination of five years of attempts, with Kubkowski finally succeeding on his fifth try. The local community in Dziwnów plans to honor his accomplishment with a commemorative plaque in the Aleja Gwiazd Sportu (Avenue of Sports Stars).
