Ashlins Pharmaceuticals, a U.S.-based biopharmaceutical company, has entered into an exclusive license and supply agreement with Lee's Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited. This agreement grants Ashlins the rights to develop and commercialize drug products
incorporating Lee's Pharm's interferon alpha-2b active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) outside of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Lee's Pharm will supply the API and could receive up to $31 million in upfront, development, and annual commercial milestone payments, contingent on certain conditions. Interferon alpha-2b is known for its antiviral and immunomodulatory properties, making it a valuable component in medicines. Jennifer Lin, CEO of Ashlins Pharmaceuticals, expressed optimism about the potential of this program to provide new therapeutic options for patients with limited treatment alternatives.
