Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin, long-time broadcasters for the Washington Capitals, have been named 2026 Silver Circle honorees by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. This prestigious recognition
is awarded to television professionals with at least 25 years in the industry who have made significant contributions to broadcasting and their communities. Beninati and Laughlin have been calling Capitals games together since the 1996-97 season, covering over 2,000 games, including the Capitals' 2018 Stanley Cup victory. Their induction into the Silver Circle will be celebrated during a ceremony in October 2026.
