What's Happening?
The BMC3I TAP Lab, in partnership with Catalyst Campus, has launched a new multi-phased program aimed at enhancing collaboration between commercial innovators and government stakeholders. The program begins with the Mission Catalyst Summit, a three-day
event in Colorado Springs, designed to introduce participants to the BMC3I TAP Lab and its mission priorities. The summit will provide opportunities for attendees to connect with technology stakeholders and learn about current mission challenges. The program's first phase will involve a six-week cohort experience to help teams align their technologies with mission needs and build relationships with stakeholders.
Why It's Important?
This initiative is crucial for accelerating the development of technologies that support Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, and Space Intelligence (BMC3I) missions. By creating a structured pathway for collaboration, the program aims to facilitate the rapid transition of commercial technologies into operational use. This can enhance national security capabilities and ensure that the U.S. remains at the forefront of technological innovation in defense and space intelligence. The program also provides commercial innovators with valuable insights and connections, potentially leading to new business opportunities and advancements in technology.
What's Next?
The Mission Catalyst Summit will take place from July 21-23, 2026, and will serve as the entry point for organizations interested in engaging with the BMC3I TAP Lab. Following the summit, applications for the first phase of the program will open, allowing selected teams to participate in a cohort experience. The program will continue to offer virtual and in-person programming, including workshops and business development activities. As the program progresses, it is expected to foster stronger ties between commercial innovators and government stakeholders, leading to the development of cutting-edge technologies that address mission needs.
