What's Happening?
Invenio Imaging has completed patient enrollment for its ON-SITE study, a pivotal U.S. trial evaluating the NIO® Lung Cancer Reveal, an AI-based image analysis tool for assessing bronchoscopic lung biopsy specimens. The study enrolled 1,006 patients and
collected over 3,250 biopsy specimens across seven medical centers. The NIO® Imaging System rapidly images fresh biopsy tissue without traditional processing, and the AI module assists physicians in evaluating these specimens. The NIO® Lung Cancer Reveal has received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation but remains investigational in the U.S. The study aims to address the challenge of determining biopsy adequacy during procedures, which is critical for accurate diagnosis.
