Initial casting and the creative team have been announced for the upcoming Off-Broadway revival of Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's musical 'Spring Awakening.' The production, directed by Danya Taymor, is scheduled to run at Studio Seaview in New York
from November 27th to February 13th. The lead roles will be filled by Tyler Jordan Wesley as Melchior, Ashlyn Maddox as Wendla, Ryo Kamiayashi as Moritz, and Amalia Yoo as Ilse. Other cast members include Antonio Porciello as Hanschen, Jack Bateman as Georg, Jada Simone Clark as Thea, Leif Coomer as Ernst, Nando Morland as Otto, Khadija Sankoh as Martha, and Grace Slear as Anna. The creative team features Celia Rowlson-Hall as choreographer, Or Maias as music supervisor, Christine Jones and Brett Banakis for scenic design, Kaye Voyce for costume design, Brian MacDevitt for lighting design, Cody Spencer for sound design, Jeremy Chernick for special effects, Cynthia Meng as music director/conductor, David Lai as music coordinator, Ann James as intimacy coordinator, Drew Leary as fight coordinator, C A Johnson as creative consultant, Miranda Cornell as associate director, and Gigi Buffington as voice and text coach.
