Anson Resources, through its subsidiary A1 Lithium, has been approved for a US$194 million (A$269 million) business incentive by the Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA). This incentive is designated to support the development of the Green River Lithium Project
located in Utah, US. The financial package is structured as 50% of the current and projected annual property tax differential, available for up to 25 years. The incentive will become active upon the project's completion and is contingent on continuous operations, with an annual disbursement of approximately US$8 million. This approval is part of broader discussions between Anson and the Government of Utah regarding multiple incentive programs. Additionally, the UIPA has offered an alternative arrangement to back bonds for funding public infrastructure, which could include utility extensions, and upgrades to rail and road infrastructure, subject to agreement from local authorities and the UIPA Board. Anson's CEO, Bruce Richardson, highlighted that this approval is a crucial step in securing the financial stack for the 10,000 tonnes per annum lithium carbonate plant at Green River.
