McNeese State University is hosting its second consecutive Cowboy Block Party tonight, continuing the off-field momentum following the season opener. The free event series, presented by Lake Charles Toyota, is in its fifth year and aims to bring the community
together before home game weekends. Tonight's block party will feature a performance by the popular Southwest Louisiana band, The Flamethrowers. The concert is scheduled to take place at the Alumni Grove on the McNeese campus, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and music starting at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, drinks, and food, though food trucks will also be available on site, offering a variety of culinary options.
