What's Next?
As the new AEW TBS Champion, Queen Aminata is expected to embark on her first title defense in the coming weeks. Her reign will likely involve challenges from various contenders within the AEW women's division, including those who celebrated with her, such as Willow Nightingale or Kris Statlander, or even Persephone seeking a rematch. The interference from Britt Baker during the match also hints at a potential future storyline involving Baker and Aminata. This championship win could also lead to increased visibility and opportunities for Aminata within AEW, potentially featuring her more prominently on Dynamite and other AEW programming.
Beyond the Headlines
Queen Aminata's championship win could have broader implications for representation and career progression within professional wrestling. Her journey from Dark YouTube episodes to a main event championship victory serves as a narrative of perseverance and growth, resonating with fans and aspiring wrestlers. The decision to feature a women's championship match as the main event on a flagship show like Dynamite sends a strong message about the value and drawing power of female talent in AEW. This could encourage other wrestling promotions to similarly elevate their women's divisions, fostering greater equality and diverse storytelling in the sport.
