of experience in luxury design, identified significant issues in the conventional supply chain, including reliance on fossil-based materials, exploitative labor practices, and environmental pollution. Her company, Simplifiber, has developed a one-step molding process using natural cellulose fibers to create 3D products like shoe uppers, bags, and car interiors. This method significantly shortens the supply chain, reducing it from a five-step process to a single step, which can be performed in one location. The technology allows for the creation of durable, versatile materials that can be customized in terms of texture, shape, and flexibility. Simplifiber recently secured a $12 million Series A funding round to further develop and scale its innovative manufacturing solutions.
