What's Happening?
ServiceNow is recruiting a Senior Customer Success Manager (Cybersecurity) in Sydney. This role is part of the Armis from ServiceNow team, which focuses on protecting the entire attack surface and managing an organization's cyber risk exposure in real-time.
Armis, combined with ServiceNow's Security and Risk capabilities and Veza's Identity Security, aims to create an autonomous defense platform for the Agentic Enterprise. The Senior Customer Success Manager will manage a portfolio of up to 30 accounts, building strong customer relationships from the pre-sales phase through deployment. Key responsibilities include defining success plans, guiding customers through implementation, maximizing customer satisfaction, and driving adoption and value for growth and reference-ability. The role also involves reporting risks and wins internally and externally, and understanding customer product issues and feature requests.
Why It's Important?
While the position is based in Sydney, the underlying technology and strategic focus on cybersecurity are highly relevant to U.S. businesses. ServiceNow's emphasis on an 'autonomous defense platform' and securing 'every asset, every identity' addresses critical vulnerabilities faced by American enterprises, particularly with the increasing sophistication of cyber threats. The role's focus on customer success ensures that U.S. companies adopting ServiceNow's cybersecurity solutions effectively implement and derive maximum value from these platforms. This directly impacts the resilience of U.S. infrastructure, corporate data, and intellectual property against cyberattacks. The success of such customer-centric roles contributes to the overall security posture of businesses, which is vital for economic stability and national security in the digital age.
What's Next?
The Senior Customer Success Manager will establish regular cadences with assigned customers, including monthly, quarterly, and digital reviews, to provide guidance, review executive dashboards, and address open issues. They will also deliver Executive Business Reviews to ensure alignment on goals and value realization. The role requires maintaining current functional and technical knowledge of the Armis platform and future products, driving utilization, and recommending additional features to improve customers' security posture. The individual will build trusted relationships with technical users and stakeholders, serving as a customer advocate to guide other Armis resources. This continuous engagement and support are crucial for ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and the effective deployment of cybersecurity measures.
Beyond the Headlines
This role highlights the evolving nature of cybersecurity from a purely technical function to one deeply integrated with customer relationship management and strategic business outcomes. The focus on 'autonomous defense' and securing 'AI Agents' points to the next frontier in cybersecurity, where AI itself becomes both a target and a tool for defense. The need for a Senior Customer Success Manager in this domain underscores that even the most advanced security technologies require expert guidance and continuous support to be effective. This shift reflects a broader industry trend where technology providers are becoming more deeply embedded in their clients' operational success, moving beyond transactional sales to long-term partnerships focused on risk management and value realization. This approach is particularly critical in the U.S., where regulatory pressures and the economic impact of cyber breaches are significant.
