HII has announced an expansion of its production capacity for Romulus unmanned surface vessels (USVs) through a new partnership with Halimar Shipyard in Morgan City, Louisiana. This partnership will enable the construction of complete Romulus 151 vessels and
support serial production in collaboration with Breaux Brothers Enterprises. The expansion is part of HII's strategy to build the industrial capacity needed to deliver autonomous maritime capability at scale. The new production line in Slidell, Louisiana, will handle the cutting, bending, welding, and assembly of major structural components.
