British startup CloudNC has successfully raised an additional $20 million in a Series B funding round, bringing its total investment to $128 million. The company, founded in 2015 by Theo Saville and Chris Emery, specializes in AI-powered software for
automated manufacturing. Its flagship product, CAM Assist, automates critical aspects of the computer numerical control (CNC) process, which is essential for precisely cutting and shaping components across various industries, including automotive, defense, and consumer goods. CAM Assist integrates with existing systems like Autodesk Fusion and Mastercam, streamlining the initial planning phase by selecting tools, machining directions, feed parameters, and cutting speeds, and generating CNC machine code.
