What's Happening?
UMass Lowell Athletics has announced its 2026 Hall of Fame class, which includes four individuals and three teams that have significantly contributed to the university's sports legacy. The inductees are Elyssa Boris from softball, Connor Hellebuyck from ice
hockey, Allen Mottram from baseball, and Kathy O’Neil from women’s basketball. Additionally, the 2002-03 and 2003-04 men’s basketball teams, along with the 2015 men’s cross country team, will be honored. These individuals and teams have set numerous records and achieved significant milestones, such as Boris's record for most career RBI in softball and Hellebuyck's dominant goaltending career. The induction ceremony is scheduled for November 7, 2026, at the Meehan Student Center.
