The Helicopter Company (THC), a Saudi Arabian rotorcraft operator, has placed firm orders for an additional eight Airbus H145 light-twin helicopters. This order is part of a framework agreement signed in 2024 with Airbus Helicopters, which allows for up
to 120 helicopters. The newly ordered H145s are scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028. According to Airbus Helicopters' chief executive Matthieu Louvot, the earlier agreement also included 10 firm orders for the H145 model. THC's chief, Captain Arnaud Martinez, stated that the incoming fleet will be used for both growth and replacement purposes, although specific uses have not been disclosed. The helicopters will be delivered in a multi-mission configuration, allowing flexibility in their deployment. THC, owned by the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund, has been expanding rapidly since its inception in 2019, offering services such as sightseeing, transport, and emergency medical flights.
