Legacy Minerals has announced a significant gold discovery at the Mt Carrington Project in New South Wales, following the completion of a maiden diamond drilling program at the Mascotte prospect. The company received final assay results from an eight-hole
drilling campaign, totaling 1,841 meters. Notable findings include a 40-meter intercept at 1 gram per tonne of gold, with higher concentrations in certain sections. Additionally, the assays revealed high-grade base metal and silver mineralization, including 1 meter at 18.7% lead, 8.7% zinc, and 43 grams per tonne of silver. The discovery confirms a coherent gold-silver epithermal mineralized system extending over 1.3 kilometers, which remains open for further exploration. Legacy Minerals plans to expand its resource estimate and is preparing for additional drilling at the Emu prospect to target copper-gold mineralization.
