What's Happening?
Aguia Resources has successfully launched its Pampafós project, marking its market debut with initial sales totaling $600,000. The project, which began operations on June 2, 2026, has seen significant interest from over 100 potential customers across
Brazil. The company has secured a two-year contract with Cooperativa Tritícola Caçapavana, a leading agricultural organization in Rio Grande do Sul, for 2,000 tonnes of product. Additionally, Aguia has sold 1,000 tonnes to smaller farming producers in the Caçapavana region. The sales are priced between $190 and $200 per tonne, with discounts for upfront payments. Aguia is also negotiating an additional 5,000 tonnes for short-term deliveries. The Pampafós product is designed to provide a steady nutrient supply to plant roots, particularly in regions with acidic agricultural soils.
Why It's Important?
The successful launch of the Pampafós project is a significant milestone for Aguia Resources, as it validates the company's strategy in the agricultural sector. By securing contracts with major agricultural cooperatives and local farmers, Aguia is positioning itself as a key supplier of phosphorus in southern Brazil. This development not only strengthens Aguia's market presence but also supports local agricultural productivity by providing a reliable source of nutrients. The project’s success could lead to increased production capacity and further market expansion, benefiting both the company and the regional agricultural economy.
What's Next?
Aguia Resources is in final negotiations for working capital financing with Banco Daycoval, a Brazilian private bank, which could provide the necessary funds to expand production capacity. The company is also focused on increasing the adoption of Pampafós among local farmers, which could lead to further sales growth. As the project progresses, Aguia may explore additional partnerships and contracts to solidify its market position and enhance its long-term commercial relationships.
